[Flyers and posters are tacked on various buildings in Sanctuary which read:]

On Hammer 22nd, 1373 DR, council candidate Jacob Geigne of The Sanctuary Times will be holding a speech and questions session regarding his stance and actions in the council if elected. Don't miss this opportunity!

[RL Time I'm not exactly sure of but it's on Saturday, May 6. I'll update the exact time tommorrow]

[Time: Midnight tonight CST or sometime tommorrow. Sorry for the late time, was busy all day.]

[Right, my agenda didn't let me get online tonight for an extensive period. It will be on Sunday, May 7. Exact times are TBA for now. Sorry!]

[After putting this off for much too long, the speech is finally happening at 3PM CST, or 15 minutes after this post]

[After the speech and questioning, copies of the speech are appear up in random areas around town, specifically around the inns]

Speech G'day citizens. Name's Jacob Geigne, some of you may be familiar with who I am. Like many of you standing here today, I am an ex-slave of drow. I was fortunate enough to escape the tyranny of drow to find freedom here in our beloved Sanctuary.

Today in Sanctuary, I have created The Sanctuary Times, a free-speech project where any citizen can share his ideas on a widely accepted forum in Sanctuary. I work with The Pissing Crone and am the Investments and Financial Director of The Commonwealth of Sanctuary, as well as a professional mercenary.

Today, as a concerned citizen, one of my major concerns is that the citizenship is uninformed. People otherwise don't care for the local politics, or they simply cannot find a means of informing themselves properly. It has been one of my goals through The Sanctuary Times to teach people of the political happenings of Sanctuary. People have come back to me thanking me for my writings. I have been told that it has helped new and old citizens learn about what Sanctuary is about and has made them informed citizens.

In response to this ignorance, I will promote political awareness in council. I am willing to answer question that a citizen has on the current issues and what the council is doing about it personally and through The Sanctuary Times. The citizenship should be questioning its government, and by doing so we will ultimately reduce corruption in every aspect and make it known what the people truly want out of their government. This continued ignorance risks the government exploiting it's people, which we can simply not tolerate.

Then we have the issue of the destitute. Many councillors and the majority of the citizenship agree that there is a poverty problem in Lower Sanctuary. After seeing the House of Light before its destruction, I personally support its actions, but I will propose the following to improve social reform.

First of all, the House of Light needs to have funding from the government. Without adequate funding, the House of Light I believe will not function at its fullest. Secondly, the House of Light has been babying the poor of Lower. What should they be doing? They should be teaching the poor how to become working citizens, so they are no longer dependant on the good hard-working people of Sanctuary to survive. This will boost our economy and reduce crime and poverty in Lower over time.

Thirdly, I want to increase funding to the Tigereye. My belief is that the Tigereye have the hardest job of law enforcement in all of Sanctuary. They deal in Sanctuary's poverty pit, and must work at their fullest to reduce crime. If the Tigereye cannot operate at it's fullest, then poverty and crime will only spread like a disease.

All people in Sanctuary wish to remain safe from the tyranny of enslavement, whether it be from drow, beholders, illithids or lizardfolk. That is why I will introduce new ideas to increase Sanctuary's security. We cannot defend ourselves from the outside if we cannot deal with our inside. I want to reduce crimes against the State so we can focus on the actions of our hostile neighbors and be prepared for future attacks. Should Sanctuary be attacked in the future, we need to stand strong together. We cannot be fighting internally.

Citizens, my term in council will revolve around three themes: Awareness, social reform and security. If you agree that Sanctuary needs a good mind with unique ideas, vote for me. If you agree that Sanctuary needs to be a safe haven for all our time here, vote for me. If you agree that Sanctuary's destitute deserve a chance, vote for me.

I am your man. Vote Jacob Geigne.

Thank you.

Should any citizen have a question for Candidate Geigne, feel free to meet with him personally.

Cail, getting free from paperwork for a short while, heads out on patrol, pausing periodically to pick up a couple fliers are tossing them in the nearest trash bin, like a living spam filter, leaving a respectable few left.
