An Expedition Into The Machine

I am organizing an expedition into the Machine in two days, and am seeking capable individuals to join me. Chosen resistance is to be expected, therefore at least four or five men and women would be needed before we can enter the Machine

The objectives of this expedition are as follows:

• An analysis of the numbers and exact location of the Chosen in the Bowels of the Machine. The last I saw, the Chosen struck down animatrons and were very close to the entrance of the Bowels of the Machine. This may not be true anymore, but we must know how the Chosen currently are in the Machine. • I have spoken to several citizens, including a Councilor candidate who is fascinated by the svirfneblin technology. We will analyze what svirfneblin technology we can. • Retreival of parts from broken animatrons, so that they can be given to the Spellguard.

For those not interested in any of the above mentioned things, there is a chance that you will find treasure with any Chosen that we will slay, if encountered.

The expedition was a failure. We were overwhelmed by not the animatrons, but the Chosen. The Chosen were numerous near the entrance to the Bowels of the Machine, which is rather unsettling. The ones we have seen easily defeated the animatrons. The Chosen, without any difficult, destroyed the animatrons through the use of corrosive acid and lethal flames. The Chosen are more active in the Machine than I have seen of them before.
