What I can say about this:
You'll notice the entire world is gray. As was the dog, representing Inquisitor. However, he quickly gain colouring, which represents that Inquisitor started to mean something for Thilodius.
The dog represents loyalty and friendship.
The entire city is abandoned, a stark contradiction at how it should be. It symbolizes Thilodius' feeling of emptiness, the feeling that he is alone in this world, and only Inquisitor was there for him.
The door got opened by pulling, instead of pushing as the sign noted, which is clear that nothing is as it should be.
And the tampon stands for loss. Normally, loss of blood and other icky stuff, but in this context it stands for the loss of a friendship. A friendship fostered by Thilodius.
However, the way the dog started to act, funny, almost to the point on being clownesque, stands for Inquisitor's actions, as if he acts like it's not a big deal at all. Seeing as how the movie ends there, you'll note that Thilodius does not try to contradict this, which means he feels differently. Thilodius does find it a big deal, but would rather not talk about it.
In summarization, it will be noticed by all that Inquisitor has meant, and always will mean a lot to Thilodius. His comradship is highly valued, and the loss of it will unease, even sadden Thilodius.
You two should get a room.
