I believe it important that should Sanctuary ever fall, and a new people ever come to inhabit this place, they know that even in the worst times, there were those who still held out hope and optimism in the face of such great evils as we now face.

A Citizen's Plea by Arko Evali

I have lived in Sanctuary all my life.

Never have I feared more for the safety or sanity of my fellow man.

Crises surround us; all sides clamoring for our death or subjugation. Every day we teeter further and further over the edge, and for the first time, I fear we won't be okay. I fear that the Watch, or the Spellguard, or the Seekers, or the Council won't save us.

Brothers and Sisters, I fear because the Watch is fractured like never before. I fear, becuase Sanctuary's streets are more crowded, and the voices of dissent are louder than they have ever been.

I fear that Sanctuary is no longer living up to its name.

But there is one thing that relieves my fear. One thing that gives me cause for hope. The Gods have not turned away from us. The Sumlord's light still shines. The light of the sun I've never seen has warmed my soul, and I know that there is hope, there is still a reason for optimism.

Sanctuary is not damned, Sanctuary is not hell. We are still alive. And while we yet live, there is hope for salvation.

But prayer is not enough. While the gods love us, we are here to make our own way; to improve the lives of those around us, and earn our rightful places in the afterlife.

Brothers and sisters, this is a time for heroes, It's a time for those who will rise up selflessly, link arms with those of good heart, and do the deeds that will cement their names forever in the minds and memories of thsoe they saved.

Only through cooperation, bravery, charity, and motivation, may Sanctuary be saved.
