Greetings Mr. Ignatiev,Despite my being a long standing citizen of upper, perhaps even once considered your enemy and the fact that I intend to pursue a career within an organization you would most likely deem hostile.
I feel that you would make an excellent chancellor and agree completely with regards to our needing the protection of the Great Shadow Death. As such I will most likely be voting for you in the coming elections.
However I would like you to answer the following:
Do you still feel slighted by the upper organizations for their actions against you?
Can you be more specific about changes in legislation you intent to pass for the betterment of said organizations?
Do you plan to pursue a method of transportation between Upper Sanctuary and the Canal Ward bypassing Lower Sanctuary?
At what point can we expect the Canal Ward to appropriately guarded so that all I can trade in relative safety?
What is your stance upon the reunification of Upper and Lower Sanctuary?
I personally am against reunification as a long standing citizen of the upper district. Despite your answers you will most likely get my vote. For the most part your opponents seem blinded by zealotry and unable to comprehend the cities current state of affairs.
My love and respect to the Great Shadow Death
~Elysian Cleymont~
[Letter to Pyotr Ignatiev]
Ms. Cleymont,
My thanks for your letter and your support in the upcoming election. To answer your questions;
1) No, I do not feel slighted. They were doing their jobs and so was I. Amends have been made. The era of House Montezzi is over now, and so too are the rivalries which defined it.
2) Increased funding, mandatory enthrallment testing for all new citizens overseen by law enforcement, expansion of law enforcement powers to accommodate the chaotic times ahead and revision of certain laws which pertain to law enforcement. See me personally for more questions regarding this.
3) Yes, and the required funding will be allocated for it.
4) If I am elected to Council, I can coordinate very easily a mutual stewardship of the Canal Port with both the Shadow Tribe and the City. Between the legions of kobolds, their wealth, our animatrons and the fear of the wrath of Etorix, the Chosen will have no purchase there.
5) Lower has been overrun, so this is unlikely. However, I was not fond of the idea. History teaches us it is pointless.
Please, find me at the Embassy of Shadow if you have further queries.
Regards,
Candidate Ignatiev
