Evaristus d'Allemagne,Recently I found myself gazing upon your campaign fliers and as a long standing citizen of Upper Sanctuary I am utterly horrified by some of your proposals.
For the most part the Spellguard is trusted by the people here, with the notable exception of the adventuring community whom resent the Spellguard, disliking "restrictions" to their frivolous and dangerous unwarded casting.
I find the fact that you showed such bias in your investigation quite disturbing. I would also like to remind you Lower Sanctuary is no longer considered part of Sanctuary and was for quite a while a warren of Cyrcists and other maligned cultists/gangs. Most of the rumors about the Spellguard can be traced to individuals from said groups.
As for your proposal with regards to the Shadow Tribe I feel you would do well to look closer at our cities current state of affairs. There are two ways for us to survive the Drow of Treansyr's onslaught. The first would be to provide them with the two hundred slaves they demand. The second would be to rely on the Great Shadow Death's aid.
While I have nothing but love and respect for the Broken God. I cannot in good consciousness support a man such as yourself for council. If you were to be elected to council based upon your current platform the suffering wrought could be great indeed.
I would urge for you to take more time to research the workings of our city and it's current state of affairs and then restate your platforms.
Please I am tired of suffering the greed and malice of the adventurer. All I ask is that you do more research to find evidence of your claims against the Spellguard. I would also like for you to do proper research into the reasoning behind the Spellguard's separation from the city.
I thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
