*a sermon to Bane given in the town hall*

((moments ago IC to a modest crowd by Matho Jolic))

I thank you all for coming, it is a commendable thing seek to expand your knowledge. First I will read from the Eight Tract of Bane, then talk on the meaning of it shortly. Questions are enjoyed and encouraged after the sermon is done.

And this is the word of Bane.

“Follow well those who are placed above you and follow them with devotion and fervor. Heed their commands and instructions, but also think well on those who follow you.

To a loyal vassal you will administer fairly and justly. And to all vassals who hold loyalty true in their heart, their betters is to do as is just to them. For in my eyes all men are equal and I see little difference in which of you rise above another. And your vassals who are loyal you will treat just and be kind to. And as others may be your vassals because you are strong, you will see to their protection for in my eyes, all men are equals. And if for your own petty ambition you drive men’s hearts away from me, you will have invoked my wrath and you will come to know my fury. And if you disobey this command you will come to know me, I am Bane.”

Some of you may know of the recent announcement. We have had the fortunate circumstance to learn the plans of a plot against the city and its people, a plot which I am sad to say involved a person claiming to be a follower of Bane. It has been our duty and obligation to share our knowledge of this immediately.

As Bane commands, all men are equal in his eyes. In the eyes of Bane, every person in this room is equal. Head the word of Bane and to any vassals, be they employees or even your own children, deal fairly and justly with them and most of all, protect them.

Bane is here for the betterment and protection of the people of sanctuary. Any who are sick, come and be healed, Any who are hungry, come and let them eat. Any who are confused, come and let the have guidance and hear the word of Bane. Any who wish strength, come and learn it-through Bane any man can become a great man.

All questions are welcome, please, voice them.
