Elina Adair for Council

The majority of you reading this have likely never heard my name, and not without reason. Until this dark, I considered my devotion to the art of the blade my highest priority, and neglected the needs of those around me, my comrades here in the dark.

No longer will that be the case. I am running for Council now to see things changed here. When training with the longsword at the River Arkhen Academy in Archendale, I heard it repeated over and over that proper footing is the key to a sound defense. Sanctuaryhas been knocked off its feet, it falters, but the chance remains to regain that footing, to see our defenses rebuilt and our streets cleared of petty violence.

The foundations of my plan to rebuild in the wake of the trials our city has been facing recently are as follows:

Economy: Relations with the Shadow Tribe are already improving, thanks to the invaluable work of Sergeant James William Everard of the Watch and the tireless efforts of the men and women of our honored Spellguard Order. Our kobold allies will be key in providing the metal and food sources our population so desperately needs.

Defensibility: The Watch and Spellguard Order have long been our city's best defense, but they need our support as well. The ranks of the Watch are thinning, and the Spellguard has also suffered, with the destruction of many animatrons and valuable by the drow lich and its underlings. As a Councilwoman I will work to increase cooperation between the two organizations, to find ways to meet their increased budgetary needs after a term of calamity following calamity, and to advocate any new programs proposed which encourage citizens from the adventuring community to aid our noble defenders.

Unity: Upper and Lower Sanctuary have long regarded each other with apprehension, and often with animosity, but it is not impossible for some degree of cooperation to be reached. The future of our city must be decided by all of us, and I will hear the opinions of well-meaning citizens from both Upper and Lower if I am elected. I will work with members of the Lower community to discuss the best approach to such issues as defense against the Chosen, and weeding out of the monsters that would continue to oppress the free-thinking people below. All must realize that no part of this city stands in isolation, the future of each is inextricably entwined in the fate of the other.

If you support any of these views, cast your vote for Elina Adair in the upcoming election. And if you have any questions or concerns, you may address them to me at the Last Stand.
