Quest payout

There are some quests which could really use some editing, payout wise.

Volts, which used to let people get obscenely rich, as they could do it at practically no cost to themselves - Now gives nearly (if any) gold. Not every questing group is optimized and some still take heavy hits to their supplies from this quest, with usually nothing to see for it.

Hoar, the loot is absolutely amazing, but nearly nobody ever gets to see it. When there was an NPC giving the quest, the quest was justifiable by the potions/gold. Now a group is lucky if they get even 60 gold to split among the entire group.

- I can understand not all quests should be profitable to do, But I think that the lower level quests like these, with lots of lootable chests should supply adventurers with what they need to tackle on the more dangerous quests, not drain their supplies and give next to nothing in return.

Up the payout, please.

Hoar's been improved with the stash of treasure in the boss room.

I've noticed that volts has been reduced a bit, I'm not sure if I would say it's been reduced too much.

Goblin camp, I think, could use a little bump upwards as usually the most useful loot found there are goblin spirits bones or purple crystals.

Goblin camp is fine, it's well randomised and can give anywhere from lots of supplies to none.

It's mostly Hoar and volts, that give pretty much nothing no matter what. :(

I have to agree with Cruzel, I mean, when you put all his points to thought, and then throw in the fact that most subraces aren't allowed into the upper sanctuary quests, some more loot would be an altogether nice thing to have, and still not be too profitable.

I think the Hoar treasure was a one-time deal or something, Caster.

It was Caster.

The loot on Hoar was ridiculous.

I ran hoar again today. The little piles of gold coins are still there and contained a variety of things from gold pieces to crossbows to medicinal herbs.

My group scored big on hoar and ended up with 1.2k reward, it may even need to be toned down! (though we were five people so I dunno)

Outside of DM spice i have never gotten an overly large reward on the Hoar quest.

IxTheSpeedy Outside of DM spice i have never gotten an overly large reward on the Hoar quest.

It's been changed very recently.

I haven't been down there recently thanks to Upper/Lower business, but I was wondering what the payout was like for sewer Chosen quest. Does the quest giver still exist? If not, has the loot been uped?

Someone in the know please let me know.

Belay what I said. The piles of treasure seems to have disappeared!

honestly, I think that the current payouts are just fine. Volts has it's payouts in the way of other forms that are very useful -- things you'd be spending the coin found in there on anyway.

Hoar is just fine, but most people don't seek out the treasure in that quest for various IC reasons.

this server is meant to have its ups and downs. Not every job in real live is going to pay the same, why should that be different in EFU?

I don't know about Volts. The Animatron Parts were more useful when you could flog them to an NPC Spellguard rather than having to track down an Agent. If they'd be swapped with more generally useful loot or a new Spellguard collector NPC instituted it'd be better. That quest is easy if you have elemental resistance, and near-suicide without.

Hoar Temple, frankly, is a bugger. IMO there's two quest's worth of foes in there, *Do not spoil quests!*

I can see why volts might need a bit more loot. Sometimes it is insanely easy, though. Othertimes, it's a bitch. But in the end, it -is- a svirfneblin warehouse. :?

There's an NPC now out in the Tower lobby that takes the parts again.
