The Great Shadow Death's Protection

[Made through the sending system]

Citizens of Sanctuary. It is my utmost pleasure to inform you all that today, the Great Shadow Death, in all his infinite wisdom and benevolence, has graciously restored his protection upon Sanctuary after hearing my earnest plea and prayer in his temple. I asked that he come to our aid against the forces of Traensyr, that he spare us from the shackles of the Drow, and lo, he appeared before my very eyes out of shadow's essence to answer me. He has vowed he will not allow the city to fall, now and forever. His awesome might goes unchallenged in all the Underdark, the Drow shall flee before his great breath, and know the embrace of defeat should they dare think to assault our walls.

Of late, he had grown displeased with Sanctuary, in main due to the actions of a Matterheim, who, unprovoked, slaughtered kobolds under the Great Shadow Death's protection, and did try to vainly kill him through cowardly explosives. But this is not all. We have forgotten his deeds, Sanctuary. He has delivered us from certain destruction before, and will continue to do so, yet we must give thanks to him. We have not praised his name in the streets for his labour, for the resources his kobolds supply us with that keep our economy functioning, and for all the lives he has saved in his boundless generosity. We can afford to do so, it costs us nothing. Thank him for our lives, for the lives of your children, for the lives of your family which were all saved when he did swing down upon the Drow and breathe his terrible death on their surprised and confused host.

All he asks is that he is given the proper respect that he deserves, as a god and saviour of Sanctuary, who has more than once saved us from the wrath of a dread foe, with his sheer otherworldly might. I know I speak for all of the Sanctuary Watch when I say that we are endlessly grateful for the Great Shadow Death's timely protection, and shall sleep easier this night knowing we are being watched over by he.
