What is written today is important to the security of Sanctuary. It is with great sadness that the Council of Bane must announce there is a person in the city claiming allegiance to Bane who plans to do treasonous acts to the city.
To stop him from this attempt, both for his own benefit and for the benefit of the city it is with great sadness the Council of Bane must announce that Coronado Devir is currently plotting with an unknown number of conspirators in the city council and the spell guard to overthrow the government of sanctuary. It is his belief that with this new, despotic government he will somehow have the city better prepared to defend against drow attack and then plans to use the city of Sanctuary to conquer the under dark. This idea, is both traitorous and lunatic. Bane commands no such conquest, not of the under dark and certainly not of Sanctuary.
Claims that Bane commands the conquest of the under dark is heresy. Claims that Bane commands the conquest of Sanctuary are heresy.
Bane does not traffic in deceit and treachery. If a thing is not worth doing where all can see it, then that thing is anathema.
Should Coronado reject the heresy against Bane he has spouted and no longer hold treasonous aims to the city of sanctuary, we will welcome him back with open arms. Bane rejects none and welcomes all with open arms.

The Spellguard find it strange that an organization which claims to oppose deceit employs a priest who does not see fit to register as a spellcaster as well as it sees itself fit to post public lies about the Spellguard and Council. These claims are both unfounded and untrue, the Spellguard has no reason to wish to overthrow our current government as it has proven itself most capable of governing Sanctuary both in the past and present. Our Councilmembers are representatives of Sanctuary, voted into position by all of us, and would be hard pressed to think that removing the government they find themselves currently part of would benefit them in any way.
Bane is the god of Tyranny and it is no surprise that the members of his faith wish to undermine authority organizations and our current government, since it simply does not suit them.
The Spellguard wish Citizens to rest easy though as this so-called Council of Bane is currently under investigation as well as this individual Coronado Devir. These individuals apparently have qualms against each other and the Spellguard will ensure that this internal struggle will not end up affecting the citizens of Sanctuary in any negative manner.

Let it be known that the Council of Bane first and foremost is here to lend our aid in the protection of Sanctuary. Hence our public exposure of Coronado Devir's plans for a militant coup. This was a warning to the good citizens of Sanctuary. If treachery is looked for, it can be thwarted.
Let it also be known that the Council of Bane at no time stated that the Spellguard was in league, or indeed knew of, the treasonous plans of Coronado Devir and his co-conspirators. We merely re-stated Coronado's claim that he had associates in on the plan within the Spellguard. This was done in an effort, again, to illuminate any treachery.
The Spellguard is an organisation which promotes the freedom and prosperity of Sanctuary by protecting it and helping uphold the rule of law. I speak for both myself and the Council of Bane when I say that they are of the utmost respectability. At all times may they call upon the aid of the faithful of Bane and recieve it without question.
The Council of Bane is here for the citizens of Sanctuary. We abide by the law, and will at all times help defend the city from threats. Coronado Devir and his conspirators are a threat. If you have any information regarding this plotted coup, be sure to inform the Council, Watch and Spellguard.
Strength through Faith.
