Is the Last Stand a NON-DM PVP zone???

Tonight during the events on the city being attacked. I was attacked in the Last Stand by the Last Stand Guard. He wanted me to put away my Halberd. I tried to hit F3 (the place it sits on my quick-bar), but the system would not see the command.

Next thing I know I am being attacked by the LS guard. Once I can get up, I start to heal myself and some PC attacks me from behind!!! I do not even know who it was that attacked me the second time. So since when is the Last Stand a NON-DM PVP zone???????

Now this all started because I was holding my weapon, and about to step outside with the other person I was RPING with. And if the person that took over the LS Guard had been following what me and Roxy were doing, he would have seen that!

If you look up what size a Halberd is a Large weapon that weighs 15 lbs! In Real Life you could not put a weapon that big into a backpack. As such when I am RPing, I carry it. Just like I would in Real life. AKA realistic RP!

I am very upset that I got basically gang jumped for no damn reason. And I have been seen carrying that weapon all night and the last couple of nights since I got it!

I think that the person that attacked me (both the one controlling the guard and the damn backstabber!) should be penalized for their actions! And what makes this worst is that I had just got done healing a watchman on the Upper Main Gate. Vera Lynn (if I remember the name correctly) was with me. I had found her IC, told her of what I found. (a dead watchman and the rest wounded) And took her there to see it.

Being jumped by normally NPC's and backstabbing PC's is BS! Was there any DM's in the Stand during this? And if so... why did you not stop them?

Okay, please calm down. You seem pretty wildly confused.

First of all, normal players CAN NOT possess NPCs. Only DMs can.

So, to answer your question - no, the Last Stand is not a no-DM PvP zone. However, your incident was with DM possessed NPCs.

The version I got is that Rak, as the proprietor of the tavern, asked your character to put away the halberd. As we make clear in various places, all weapons can be holstered or in some way slung. So yes, in EfU it is absolutely reasonable to put halberds into your inventory, and it is absolutely reasonable for PCs and NPCs to respond to someone coming into a crowded tavern bearing a large instrument of death with some trepidation.

You either missed the IC request, ignored it, lagged out, or otherwise failed to respond - I am sympathetic if you are still getting used to the NWN client interface - and one of the Enforcers there made you put it away through IC force.

You were not arrested, FD'ed, or fined, so I'm not quite sure why this incident deserves such anger, but if you have further concerns please contact us via escapefromunderdark@gmail.com

Your character had his blade out in an inn, during a time of IC very high tensions. A watchman and another character, unrelated to you, were facing off, and the Innkeeper did not want things turning into a large-scale brawl or potential riot, so he got his bouncer to relieve you of your weapon. The bouncer gave you a count-down, along with other PCs telling you to holster/sheath/whatever, and when no response was forthcoming, he attacked.

Shortly after your PC was subdued, a group of Watch PCs arrived at the inn to find your character subdued on the floor. When you tried to get up, one of the Watch PCs hit you once. Different PvP rules apply to Watchmen and Spellguard when in Upper Sanctuary and its domains, and they are allowed to PvP without a DM when enforcing infractions (perceived or otherwise!) of the law. My guess is, though, that they just did it in case your character was attempting to run away, even though he may not have been. Things were then smoothed over IC.

That being said, it was not a personal attack of any kind, and your character was not impacted in any way in terms of XP, gold, equipment or healing supplies.

PLZ TO NOT PENALIZE!
