What is written today is important to the security of Sanctuary. It is with great sadness that the Council of Bane must announce there is a person in the city claiming allegiance to Bane who plans to do treasonous acts to the city.

To stop him from this attempt, both for his own benefit and for the benefit of the city it is with great sadness the Council of Bane must announce that Coronado Devir is currently plotting with an unknown number of conspirators in the city council and the spell guard to overthrow the government of sanctuary. It is his belief that with this new, despotic government he will somehow have the city better prepared to defend against drow attack and then plans to use the city of Sanctuary to conquer the under dark. This idea, is both traitorous and lunatic. Bane commands no such conquest, not of the under dark and certainly not of Sanctuary.

Claims that Bane commands the conquest of the under dark is heresy. Claims that Bane commands the conquest of Sanctuary are heresy.

Bane does not traffic in deceit and treachery. If a thing is not worth doing where all can see it, then that thing is anathema.

Should Coronado reject the heresy against Bane he has spouted and no longer hold treasonous aims to the city of sanctuary, we will welcome him back with open arms. Bane rejects none and welcomes all with open arms.

With all due respect, who are you? We have never heard of you before, nor of your supposed "Council of Bane." Why should the Council place any credibility in your reckless claims? Your thoughtless choice to publically post your slanderous allegations rather than proceeding through proper channels does little to assure us that your claims are made with lawful intentions.

I am, a priest of Bane newly arrived in the city. The council need not put any credence into my claims-it need not even act. Corodnado confided some ridiculous conspiratorial plan to myself and Praetorious which shocked us both. Whoever he planned to conspire with, that plan is now effectively dead, they will surely abandon him. He truly believes Bane orders some ridiculous conquest and talked to him. This has been done, for the betterment of the city. Had members of the council or the spellguard been the only recipients of the information, it may have been possible for the conspiracy to continue.

At the very least, it no longer has any connection to Bane and when it fails, and it was doomed to failure, the backlash would of fallen on those who were responsible. It was deemed wiser to take the risk of a backlash from announcing this claim, then the definitely far worse and impending backlash of a so called follower of Bane exposed in an attempt to over turn the government.

Furthermore, if there is a serious threat of a drow attack, as Coronado told us, division amoung the goverment, weakened by a coup would almost certainly doom us to failure. Action, immediate action was required.

The conspirators now have a serious setback as their actions will have new scrutiny to them. I have done you a favor as no one else was likely to reveal this. And no, I do not want anything in return, for the stated reasons our actions were as beneficial to the council as they are to us.

This slanders no one but Coronado, we truly do not know who he was conspiring with-had we known, we would of named them.

I had the good fortune of meeting Councilor Ward yesterday. I assured him that regardless of the previous activities of some idiots acting in the name of Bane, that the church of Bane will not allow criminal activity in the name of Bane. We are here for the protection of the city of Sanctuary. I gave my promise and I intend to see it through.
