*A quickly penned letter is left at the Watch House*
Greetings and Tyr’s blessings to you,
I understand your time must be short, especially with this threat of Illithid penetration of the Watch, so I will do my best to keep it brief. I have a strong desire to be of service to Sanctuary. My late father Nive Uson, has taught me the art of martial defense, as well as they ways of tracking within the Underdark. As such, it is my hopes to be able to apply these skills and abilities in service with the Watch. I am interested in knowing whom I need to speak with to enlist within the ranks of this honorable organization.
I can be reached at the Temple of Tyr.

Mister Uson,
You've already sent one of these letters. We've already noted your interest. I'm waiting for your list of descriptions/names from the night of the Pyrimo Inn arena event.
Stay safe.

*A letter is left in response*
Private Keel,
Thank you for your response to my letter. I understand this is my second official inquiry, but I was uncertain what exactly was expected of me after nearly a tenday of no communication. Additionally, I was unaware that vetting pertaining to my enlistment within the Watch, was contingent on when this report was filed, despite having relaying it in person. I am certain the Watch has its reasons for such, yet I wanted to relay the circumstances of the misunderstanding on my behalf. I will insure that I pay more attention to details of the instructions provided to me in the future. Nonetheless, enclosed you will find the report as was requested.
Very Respectfully,
Jovua Uson
Report: Surveillance of Pyrimo InnA few darks past, I was tasked by the Watch to conduct a surveillance of the Pyrimo Inn for the expressed purpose of taking down descriptions of individuals seen entering/exiting the portal. During my time, I observed approximately a half dozen individuals entering the portal. All of these individuals wore helmets and armor/robes that seemed to disguise their appearance. Of all of the six individuals seen entering the portal, two were goblinoid creatures I have never seen before. One was a short and stocky gnome or thin dwarf with green armor, shield, and dwarven axe. One of the Spellguard associate Half Orc’s seemed to have recognized the description. The remaining individuals who entered were non-descript human men, with brown leather armor and helms. Sadly enough, no one was heard speaking in my area of operations.
My surveillance was cut short when I was quickly discovered by some Wildman shaman, by the name of Lakewalker. Lakewalker seemed to be only inquisitive, but I found it interesting that he has taken it upon himself to protect the lake and streams near the portal. My conversation with Lakewaker pertained to his agitation of being accosted during a search by a watchman, in which I was present for. I relayed to him that the Watch search was prompted based upon suspicions that were developed after Lakewalker requested the gate in in-between to be opened so that he could enter into lower to conduct “business”. As such, the response was warranted. As we were discussing this, the Goblin creature Ghyrrt approached us an inquired if we saw an individual flee the Pyrimo portal. Ghyrrt relayed that he was serving as a “Portal Protector” for the Pyrimo Inn, in which he was to vet all individuals who enter, or attempt to leave the inn. This Lakewalker seemed to have a cordial relationship with the creature and expressed a willingness to befriend the creature if the creature could work out issues with his tribe.
