Good Morning,
First of all I wanted to say I am really enjoying this server. Ever since I found it and shared with my friends, we have been here a lot!
Thou I have found one thing a bit frustrating. None of the merchants will buy anything from you. Good example you risk your neck going out into the Underdark tunnels and find a bunch of herbs and seeds. But you cant sell them to anyone. Same with old armor and weapons.
One of the ways I have always made money was picking things up, selling them and keeping only what I need. Could we PLEEAAASSSSSEEEEE have at least one person that we can sell things too?
I know that this is a hard sever and all, but it would help get the lower level characters up a few levels. One of the reasons I have seen that characters are being killed off is they cant get good armor/weapons. At least I have seen that with myself and my friends.
Thanks...

There is a reason things don’t always sell. If they have any bonuses at all even those that are only something simple like +1 crit it puts the item into a price category that would make the PC’s of Sanctuary a millionaires in only a few quests. Not to mention that when you start getting into the negatives of an item it also bumps the price up and therefore should not be done.
If you want to sell your extra items you have, you need to do it in-character by talking and trying to sell the stuff to other PC’s yourself. If you cant or don’t want to do this then dump the stuff someplace. Now you know why you found some fairly cool stuff in the wheelbarrow a couple times, it’s because people couldn’t sell it and dumped it.

Oh I fully understand that point Rip, but for common items like non-magical weapons, armor, or even the seeds I spoke of. I feel there should be a NPC that we can go to.
Thou you do make a good point on the magical side, one I do agree with. And I too check the wheelbarrow often, Sylvyr told me about it. I have found some really interesting things in it. ;)

Economy is finicky. There are several reasons you can't sell many things, but ultimately it boils down to either us not wanting you to sell it for whatever reason or keeping player economy relatively balanced.

Once you get to know the server better, gold is not a big problem.
Oh and welcome to the server

I think it encourages PC interaction. Selling things to other PC's, or just go questing with them to get gold.

I understand that this is likely a new system for you-and one that is not comfortable at all at first. It does take a bit to get used to, but if you stick with it I think you'll find it to be pretty rewarding.
Anyways, it was put in place to encourage PC interaction, as others have said. In the past we've had a lot of successful player merchants that hang around the bazaar, looking to scoop up the items you're talking about.

The items you're finding were not intended to be sold. Plant Seeds are for PCs that want to plant, mundane armor is for use for really poor PCs, and the other ambient junk is there for flavor or for PCs to use on quests.
Allowing these things to be sold to merchants would mess up a carefully controlled economy.
