Some may say that using deceit can be used for the greater good of this world, lying to the ambassador of a greater power to protect a fledgling nation, using deceit to gain further power, knowledge, or wealth for yourself to give to a better cause is supposedly noble, it isn't.

Nothing- can be more repulsive, or false. To lie, is to cause ill to another. This fledgling nation would actually benefit from being part of the empire that would consume it, trade without tariff and taxes would blossom between the cities, the army of the larger nation would guard caravan routes and protect against orc raids and giant assaults. The fledgling nation would lack the resources to protect it's own interests, lying to the ambassador only served to place the minor nation in a weaker position, it's caravans raided, it's villages pillaged, it's army ill-equipped and weak. Speaking the truth of the situation could have served to avoid all of this, and the lie spoken harmed everyone.

The fledgling nation might of been free, but it was weak, lacked unity, and would crumble.

You would use deceit to gain a hold of another's hard earned wealth, wealth that they worked for, bled for. You spoke a few quick words and they handed you there gold from the goodness of there heart, causing there family to suffer a lean winter, while you sated your own desires on food, women, and pleasure.

Is your satisfaction and desires truly above that of a family? Was using deceit to truly gain position and wealth worth the starving eyes of children?

No.

The ills of humanity stem from a singular source, and that source is deceit, lie and falsehood. The web of lies the Prince of madness weaves around us can be broken with iron will and standing and speaking the truth, no matter to your harm or personal detriment.

Deceit furthers the web of chaos in our lives, causing rift, and disunity. Causing jealous desires, forces, and chaos to open up. Love cannot exist in lies, it is a pure force, a force of true desire, and hope.

To lie to give hope to another is the highest crime in existence, false hope, false dreams, false ambitions. To make everything they strove for worthless in a few, false words.

It is said they Prince of Lies drinks the tears of broken hearted lovers, the chalice encrusted with tore hearts. The gold bonded together with strings of lies.

Do not give into the temptation of the Lord of Madness, Truth belongs to Savras, and The Lord of Murder owns the realm of lies deceit, and falsehood. Speak the truth, only the truth, and with this truth, comes a destiny that we all know we have.
