Letter to the Watch, personally left with Sheriff Azzam.

This is the requested witness report on the murder of Flameblade Klane Kanthel.

I was in the Dunwarren ruins, looking for a potential location for a shrine to Oghma, as I'd noticed some unoccupied caves.

I entered a small cave by means of a trapdoor, and discovered Flameblade Kanthel dead on the floor between two women. One was a human in a black dress and helm similar to the Undermask or Spellguard issue type, and another was an elf-sized female in dark leathers and a similar helm.

Unsure of what had transpired, I drank a potion of invisibility co conceal myself until I could figure a safe way to recover the man's body, with the intent of having him raised.

The elf must have possessed some magical sight though, as she spotted me and shot me three times with a longbow before I escaped to the Spellguard and Watch positions to the West. She did not pursue.

I ran to the Stand and raised the alarm with an Agent Prestes of the Spellguard who happened to be in the inn at that time. He bade me follow him to the site of the murder. I changed my armour in case the murderer was still at large and lead him to the place.

We found Flameblade Kanthel's body burned to ash, with no hope of raising him. Agent Prestes then requested I gather the victim's possessions and accompany him to the Watch House. I did so, and still hold the box of his recovered items on my person.
