Problem Updating Forum Picture / Avatar

The Following text came up when I tried to load a new Avatar image

The image is 99x98 pixels and is <3kb in size and is a .JPG file.

Cheers

Ok I have gone back and tried a few different images both .jpgs and .gifs with no luck - all smaller than the 100x100 pixel requirement and all smaller that 8 Kb

Cheers

Ok I tried something different and tried to load a picture from a URL and the error messages are different.

General Error Could not write avatar file to local storage. Please contact the board administrator with this message

Cheers, Nestek

I'm having the same issues.

Anyone else having problems with this or is it just the 2 of us?

To be honest, I haven't tried to change my avatar since I removed my, *clears throat* distracting one.

I don't think I will either, based on this.

Happened to me too

Tried to upload from my computer. The picture is 78 X 80 at 4 KB JPG file. which is very much in the range of what I should be able to upload. I would think???

This is a known and troublesome problem, very certain you are doing nothing wrong, the wrong is in the forums.

Any idea if there is a timeframe for this to be sorted out?

Cheers Nestek

Have noticed a few more people with the distinctive red X as their Avatar.

Is this something that can be fixed?

Cheers

Forum work is a pretty low priority right now to be honest. It's a matter of someone getting motivated to work on forums, and being able to look up what is wrong. We lost our original webmaster, so it's a matter of figuring out who is going to handle it and when.
