*A letter left with a Watchman at the Watch House*

Greetings,

I have seen some posters about Sanctuary pertaining to joining the ranks of the Watch. In all my years here in Sanctuary, I have found there to be only one constant…threats posed to Sanctuary and its people. As such, I would request to speak with a duty Watchmen about what I need to do to enlist.

The Watch can always use men of good character and strong faith. You'll need formal recommendations from two serving watchmen for the Sheriff to consider you, so seek us out.

I do apologize for not meeting with you recently. It would seem duties have taken you away from eye sight. I have been working steady in the mean while to keep my eyes open to the tasks of interest to the Watch, and lending the assistance I can.

During a recent task, I must relay to you that it has been most unpleasant. It seems a few Watchmen went missing in some farm. I, along with a few other citizens, ventured into the farm and found a most disturbing sight. We found the Watchmen dead and on a pike. It seems the farm was being managed by filthy Duergar, who took to feeding their pigs’ flesh and blood. I could only assume that the inquiring Watchmen got too close and were killed as a result.

The Duergar was hell bent on not being taken out of their farm alive, so they were put down as a result. I wish the news I relayed was more positive, but it has become all to familiar to those of us who have been born and raised here.
