to Capt Gerrard Merrimar, last stand

Capt as i siad here is a couple of things i need answers to and a few ideas i have for the ship and crew i mean once we start building it should have some of thes things inside it.

Navagation i have asked about this and i will help out with it as am good with guideing a ship also am thinking we should bring map makeing gear capt we could creat maps and such to bring back and sell to other ships and people that wish to travel there.

Ships armoury In my years of sailing we best keep a nice stock piles of wepons in a securely locked room the real guards of the ship will have wepaons but its best to be able to arm the rest of the crew as well and not bold well to let everyone have a wepon to when they time is needed we can arm the crew from this here room it should contian hooks, small swords, light crossbows with bolts, spears, light armour, slings and such to turn the crew in to a large fighting force to repel boarders or rescue a captured crew member pluse with few people armed there will be barly a fight in the ship incase someone has one to many.

Mess Hall Capt i wish to know if we will have a mess hall for the crew as its best the ship feed them a moring meal then a evening meal to keep everyone well feed and there moral up pluse it will be a great plce for the crew to mingle and talk and if any good singers or people with good tails to tell can say it here.

that be all capt i understand if ya just want to ingnore my ideas and i cant wiat till we set sial in the sea once agian. Hood

Hood,

Good to see you're putting a lot of thought in on the matters that matter. I've taken your advisement into consideration, and since you've got the experience and the will for the position of navigator, I'm liking the idea of letting you handle the mapping and such. I'll be happy to fund the purchase of cartographic supplies.

An armory also seems like a good idea. I'm not yet sure how many it will take to man the oars on the ship we're to be using, but having weapons aboard for all of them might not be a bad idea. I don't know that we'll have the room for an extensive armory, but a polearm and a light crossbow for everyone wouldn't be a bad idea.

Mess hall is probably out as well. There'll be a decent galley and I'm still holding hope that I'll be able to find a cook for the longer voyages, but the crew will have to eat their meals in their quarters. Most of what room the vessel's going to have will be devoted to cargo, and what little else there is we're going to have to reserve for crew quarters, a decent cabin to conduct business affairs in, and that armory you mentioned.

I'll speak to the owners about all of this.
