Hall of the Seekers Fwd Commandant Lewis

Dear Seeker,

please see that the enclosed message reach Commandant Lewis

Regards, Lastilana Z.

Enclosed,

Honorable Wizard Lewis,

My name is Lastiana Zuramicchi Knight-Errant of the Lady of Magic from the City of Splendors.

hitherto, we've not met, though I have seen you on two occasions. First, the day the council chambers were first filled with the new voices of its latest members. Your friend Councilor Edward's voice, of course, among them that day. I recall you entering and gravely announcing the intimate nature of your tidings, and the necessity of it only befalling elected ears. I was attending my senior officer, the Grand Marshal, who was guested to hear the Kobold Ambassador of the Shadow Death, as he possessed some insight into the hearings.

I was only guardsmen and so joined the rest of the squires and clerks and the Marshal, who were awaiting dutifully downstairs.

The second occasion was far less memorable in detail, but I do recall having some insight that you were indeed a wizard, and practicer of the Lady's Art while we stood in the crowded city hall.

Between these two events however, the service in which I am enlisted, the Marching Men, and the City I entered, have been deeply stricken with these darker days that threaten a darker age. My senses have since commanded me this one thing; that we must leave this place, and so much the more, surround myself with allies who feel the same. As I begin questioning and searching in these lines, inevitably I was to led to your name.

So much the better, I'd rather hoped we'd have a chance to talk, since the very first.

And so it is now that I wish to tell you that I am eager to see you in person, so that we may speak, ere after I may pledge myself to your command, to brave some far off camp or search crowded caverns, and perhaps in return, you may find in me some small benefit and grant me some aid in my plans and duties to the Lady of Magic and the wonders of her Art.

To the Day,

*signed elegantly* Lastilana Zuramicchi

Post Scriptum,

Sir, you'll pardon me the indulgence of this longer letter whilst I try and explain myself. Though usually I myself find lengthy correspondences dull, far too often one hastens through the damned thing. Alas, taken time to write, we might as well explain ourselves, I daresay.
