Bryon Cadeyrn Ches 19th, Year 153.

List of those involved:

  • Private Bryon Cadeyrn
  • Hafur Hunter
  • Agent Gregory Prestes
  • House Archibald member Cania Melve
  • An unknown female Halfling (Assistant of the Agent)
  • An unknown Dwarven warrior
  • Herschel Huygens
  • The druid known as the Lakewalker
Anpuri, a strange woman suspected to be from the Undead City of Adun'Ubis (the Druid known as the Lakewalker seems to think so, this was mentioned right before and after she was killed) was gathering a group of adventurers at the gate this dark to find a missing artifact for her sister dear (no idea who that is). I was there by the gate while on my daily patrols and joined them, she told us to follow her and attack the group of thieves to retrieve the artifact, thus leading us to the Windy Cavern and on to a hole near a river there.

Within this hole we found a group of Seekers about a dozen strong guarding over a sarcophagus with quite a few defeated corpses of undead about, instantly I knew that something was very wrong about this woman and I questioned her, she continued to call for us to slay the Seekers, but the group and I refused, due to this she began saying that we have done a grave mistake and tried to retreat by drinking down a invisibility potion, however I used my Spellguard amulet to detect her and knocked her down, beginning a ten minute long battle which ended with her death.

After she was killed, I questioned the Seekers. They mentioned that they had just returned from an exploration mission and were dragging the sarcophagus back to Sanctuary until they were ambushed by the woman and her undead minions. However when asked about the tomb itself they seemed to ignore us and tell us that there was just some gold and "stuff" within.

Regardless, we decided to allow the Seekers to move and started moving back ourselves before another attack comes, but I did remind the Seekers to contact me or other Watchmembers once they return to their hall with the tomb and if any artifacts was found.

This is my report as you requested, Agent and I would appreciate if you sent yours. Any new information on this matter would be good and do identify the other people who were with us that has not been mentioned or identified in my report as well.

Private Cadeyrn.

Ches 19th, Year 153, 1375 D.R. Filed by: Agent Gregory Prestes Report: Seeker + Adun'Ubis Incident.

List of those involved: - Private Bryon Caderyn - Hafur Hunter - Agent Prestes - Archibald Squire Cania Melve - Herschel Hugyens - Rolgar Graycleaver - The druid Lakewalker - Associate Violet Deepockey

The situation:

Prioress Anpuri, a strange woman belonging to the Salawa Sisters of Adun'Ubis was gathering a group of adventurers at the gate this dark to find an artifact which was stolen from a being she refered as "Sister Dear". She said that, somehow, she knew that the group of thieves belonged to Sanctuary. Upon hearing this, I decided to see for myself what the artifact was and see that it'd fall in the right hands should it be the case. The aforementioned people followed the Priores for their own reasons.

She told us to follow her and kill the thieves, so as to retrieve the artifact and punish them. She lead the group to the Windy Canyon, into a network of caves and through them to reach the place where it had sent several ghouls to delay the thieves.

In this place, we found a group of Seekers about a dozen strong, with the addition of a huge bear, guarding over a sarcophagus they were carrying. She called for us to slay the Seekers, the group refused, Private Bryon even going so far as to say that the Seekers were allies and supported by Sanctuary and that they would not kill their own. She said we would regret this and tried to flee, but she was detected, knocked down and slain by the following people:

- Rolgar Graycleaver - Hafur Hunter - Private Bryon - Herschel - Squire Cania Melve.

After the woman was slain, the Seekers were questioned. They said they knew nothing about stealing something from Adun'Ubis, that they only had run into some tomb and plundered it. They claimed that they were using the sarcophagus simply to help carry all of the plunder they got and that they didn't check what was in there before throwing the 'treasure' in, so there might have been a corpse there. When questioned as to what they would use it for, they said they'd sell what they found to help fund their efforts. They refused to give further details or anything about the sarcophagus, what was in there, how they got it and why.

Regardless, the group decided to leave and the Seekers told us to leave so as to let them continue their work and move before another attack came upon them. And so it was done. This is what happened of relevant.

Points worth noting:

- The Prioress knew that the thieves were from Sanctuary, somehow. That they were trace the Seekers to where they came from, before they even got to Sanctuary is greatly worrying. - Being a high ranked member of that organization of Adun'Ubis, her presence will be missed. It is very likely that more will come looking for her. - The Seekers might've brought artifacts with them which could be scried to Sanctuary - and at the same time, attracted their ire.

Reccomendations:

- Attempt to have the Seekers clarify the actions which led to this incident. - A careful eye is to be kept on the general direction of Adun'Ubis, as they might be a new enemy of Sanctuary. - It is possible that they still believes this is the action of a few, solitary thieves. This impression is to be kept if at all possible.
