Letter to the Macasta Estate [DM]

Lord Macasta, or appropriate retainer,

The Council has appointed me the new caretaker of the Upper Library. I wish to express my gratitude at your willingness to protect the library, at your own expense, when no others have, during the interim between the previous caretaker's disappearance, and my own appointment to the position. It's an exemplary example of the good works men of your status are capable of.

However, I do not wish you to feel further burdened by the task, as it wouldn't be appropriate for me to impose on your generosity. Please have the guard removed, with my fullest thanks and respect to your esteemed family. I hope in the future that we may find opportunity to collaborate on works to the benefit of the library and learning in Sanctuary.

Herschel Huygens, Library Caretaker
