I died but not with a reason. I came back from the gem hunt and was near death. My status was normal and i rested so that i would heal but instead said i was bleeding out and went straight to the fugue loading screen. I took a screen shot but cannot find it, I looked for the forum post on how to retrieve but could not find that post.

Probably needs to be asked. What's your character name?

did you have con+ buffs, were you diseased or so? If you had buff, it vanished on rest, or if you were diseased it could have launched again on rest and drained your con down a bit?

Also, it takes a fixed amount of hit points away since one does not always fully regenerate, so it takes the same amount even if the rest was cancelled or interrupted before one fully regenerated, thus, one can die from resting, at least that is how I experienced it so far on servers which used such a scripting. But this case more sounds like faded constitution buffs or diseases indeed.

Are you a wild elf or a subrace that gives a con boost?

I'm guessing this is related to being a polymorphed druid with extra hitpoints that disappear on rest.

My character's name is Cel. I am almost positive that i had normal status, in regular form. and no buffers. My race is druid. Maybe I had something that I did not realize? Thank you for your posts, i will make sure to make sure everything is the way it should be before i rest.

What I mean, is that at some point previous to resting, you were polymorphed and received extra hitpoints when the server saved. The game then counted these hitpoints as being extra that should be stripped on rest, which happened in the inn.

The best thing to do to avoid any possibility of anything like this happening is to make sure that you're not nearly dead when you go to sleep. Otherwise, you do run the risk of waking up to find yourself completely dead, if a constitution buff wears off, or temporary hitpoints wear off, or some other effect that is barely keeping you alive suddenly disappears on rest.
