The price of freedom and safety in Sanctuary is never free, it has in fact been paid by the Watch and its brave members since the very first night of Sanctuary's founding when Charles Bresley stood up and said these famed words "I will watch this night, and who will join me?" and the Watch will always continue to pay this price and fulfill what it has always done even in these dark and trying times.
It is in these dark and trying times that we are most interested and in need of recruiting brave and capable men and women to join our ranks and serve Upper Sanctuary.
Recruitment Process
To join the Watch, you must be a brave and capable individual with favorable intentions, combat capabilities and a crime-free record, if you are such an individual then step up and state your interest in serving us. You will be interviewed and tested accordingly, if you prove your worth you shall be recommended by the Watchmember interviewing and testing you. After acquiring a few recommendations (at least two is required), you are well on your way in joining our ranks, however the final decision lies on the Sheriff.
The Duties of a Watchman
- Law Enforcement Members of the Watch enforce the Laws of Upper Sanctuary, protect the freedoms and lives of its citizens, prevent crimes whenever possible and arrest perpetrators of illegal activity.
- Crime Investigation Watchmembers are expected to investigate any suspicious criminal activity and uncover the truth behind an illegal action, meanwhile they should issue warrants on highly dangerous Capital-level criminals and post a bounty for the criminal's capture when it can be afforded.
- City and Border Defense Members of the Watch are expected to patrol the streets of Upper Sanctuary and its borders to ensure peace and order, unless they have been given the responsibility of guarding a certain area and at times when Sanctuary is attacked or invaded, Watchmen have an obligation to report for duty and serve at the walls and gates to protect Sanctuary.
- Providing Criminal Records The Watch is responsible for keeping track of criminal records on all of the citizens of Sanctuary and we are responsible for providing information on the criminal record of any citizen to the Council when it is requested.
The Benefits of being a Watchman

- Serve well and become a respected member of society and protector of the people of Sanctuary.
- You will have the pleasure of seeing your hard works benefiting the people you are protecting and keeping them safe.
