Councilors,
With the recent news of Colara's removal from the School of War I would like to put in my application to fill the role.
Each of you know me well, my dedication to you and to this city. As some of you also know I obtained my training at the Citadel of Strategic Militancy, which is located about twenty miles outside of Baldur's Gate.
For those of you unfamiliar the Citadel of Strategic Militancy is a bastion of military might and serves as the home of the Red War College. The school caters to military officers throughout Faerun who are sponsored by their lieges to study strategy and planning. I was accepted into its walls for training due to a close and personal family connection. As one might expect the citadel serves as one of the main focal points for the faith of Red Knight.
Although in recent years I have dedicated myself to the teachings of Helm, I still offer frequent prayers to the Lady of Strategy, and if you are familiar with the intricacies of both faiths I am sure you will clearly see that there is no conflict between the two, but rather a symbiotic relationship - one that will serve to benefit this city well.
If it is required I will speak to the Council either in full or individually. The School of War is important to us in this chaotic time and I do not believe we can simply leave it abandoned.
