- Praise Lathander -

Posted outside of the Seeker Hall in a bold, flowing script:

Frederick Bresley the Ascended

Over a century ago, Frederick Bresley walked the Way and found the surface. This is a basic, well known fact to any student of Sanctuary's history. The common misconception is that Bresley merely walked the surface and settled down under the sun, perhaps starting a family and dying at a ripe old age.

Falsehood! A bold vision of Frederick Bresley's life on the surface has been revealed to me in a series of dreams these past few months by the Morninglord. Just as Lathander is the patron god of the Way, Frederick Bresley found immense favor in His sight by traveling the Way successfully. It was for his bold travels upward, unfettered by the cynicism of Melinda Bresley and her den of ignoble serpents, that the Morninglord favored him! Saint Bresley of Lathander's Court

Frederick Bresley, upon reaching the surface and gazing upon the welcoming face of Lathander's celestial chariot as it journeyed through the heavens, was elevated to Sainthood. The sun's warmth lifted his soul high into the heavens, where he resides in the Morninglord's Court, among the other heroes who fought under his banner.

All this was revealed to me in a series of dreams when I first arrived in Sanctuary. Terrified and destitute, I tossed and turned as I slumbered in the only bed I could afford - the Beacon. A vision entered my mind, of Frederick Bresley walking through a tranquil forest. The warm sun above him burned with blinding intensity, and as Saint Bresley walked it began to expand and encompass the entire sky. First the clouds were obscured by its unrelenting brightness, then the forest, and finally the ground upon which Saint Bresley walked. In the final moments of the dream, Saint Bresley himself was enveloped and became one with Lathander, serving him eternally in the paradise the Morninglord has set aside for the faithful.
