The council has allocated funds for the gate repairs. It was my hope that through a deal with Holdfast, the dwarves might take part in rebuilding it. However, endless delays require us to look into other options. I commend the work your Privates have been doing under your direction, no doubt. I've sent a letter to Harrison to inquire into his stock of steel. Do you have any other suggestions how we might further make repairs now without the aid of the Dwarves? I bow to your expirenece in such matters. Lets get this done as quickly as possible.
