Citizens,
I regret being too busy at the moment to give another speech. I would like to mention, however, that the man who calls me a coward must not have seen my leadership in defense of the city from the Orog attacks. He must have also missed my defense of the Spellguard Tower from the Drow and my willingness to stand up to their Lich master. Again, he must have missed my defense of the gate from a second Drow attack and the expedition into the underdark to free captured watchmen in this attack which lead to the rescue of a lieutenant. Why he missed these acts, I do not know, perhaps he was not there to see them?
Perhaps Kainth mistakes practicality for cowardice. When possible, I try to fight the battles I can win and avoid those that I can not. This is a lesson learned from the many battles I've seen in my life, both on the field and in the office. This is my approach to this city as a whole and I am quite proud of it. As a final note, I'd like to mention the new laws protecting sabotage of animatrons specifically state that self defense, in the event of some malfunction, is -not- a crime. Perhaps if Kainth could actually read the laws we were passing, he might have noticed this.
Stay proud citizens, your council is actually working very hard for you right now. We were tossed a few loops early, but fear not, we will right the ship. Trust that people like Saint, Dentra and I will never rest until it is.

A small note is penned underneath
Commonfolk,
Where were the demon machines when your "gates" were attacked these last few darks? They did not appear, yet you have managed to repel those who sought your destruction. You have proven you can defend yourselves without such demons. Why grow complacent and fall into a false sense of security within the maze with these mockerys of life?
Why do the drow seem to focus their attention on the spell mages? The mages web of lies and deceit hides much from you, demand your freedom from their demons of metal. Demand your freedom from those who would use you for their own benefit.

This Lakewalker calls you commonfolk because you are not his folk. To me, you citizens are my kin. My own animatronic assistant also felt like family to me, I even had named him after my brother. I was deeply sadden when it fell, valiantly defending the gate by my side. That animatron saved my life.
All in our city are free to believe as they please. You need not demand your freedom further. If you don't like animatrons, avoid them. I will wager, however, that enough of you have seen them in action defending the city, to understand their worth. Besides, what does it even matter to this Lakewalker, who likely spends more time in the bushes then in the bazaar. Leave the business of running a city to those who actually live in them.
