Problem with the traps in Bilby's Residence

See here: https://efupw.com/efu1-forum/topic/39/39846/is-this-a-bug/index.html

Didn't originally report this as a bug, as due to the circumstances I thought it might have been a griefer that killed me. Basically, after leaving the house, my char got hit by about a dozen low-level Magic Missiles from "Someone" and exploded into a fine cloud of Rogue.

I'm so glad you posted here, since I couldn't toss in my two cents in the DM Q&A Forum. :)

Were you stealth when you got hit by the magic missles? Or.. were you stealth when you set off the traps and left the house?

I've noticed that when stealth there is a delay in the trap being set off.

The traps fire outside the mansion too, to quite a few RP moments.

Ok. More info for you. I wasn't stealthed in the house, I was in detect mode to search. I didn't expect guards, so I didn't use any stealth there. I only got a screenie after my (rather rapid) death, but the location was right near the bridge leading to the last stand etc. I wasn't near the house when I was hit.

It was also a good couple of minutes after I'd left the house. It wasn't "missiles from a 1st floor window", but "Death from random magic with nothing in sight firing"

The traps attack minutes after you set them off. It's definately the traps, and it's been that way for a while. It can be frustrating when you finish and then die in the last stand or so.

I don't think this is lag at all, but simply the scripted delay in the magic missile traps. Frankly, I think somebody typoed when they put in the timer. One or two rounds, sure, but the current delay is more in turns than rounds.

I can't honestly imagine setting off that many traps in that place >.> The one time I did it was with a sub par level 3 rogue and I think I set off one or two traps. Certainly only one magic missle one. Perhaps you just need to practice your rogue skills a bit more?

Frankly, I'm immensely pleased with this quest. It reminds me of days of old when quests had deadly, barely avoidable, traps that required the presence of a rogue who knew what they were doing.

Can I suggest turning those traps into something that sends in like a level 1 Fire Ball? AT THAT LOCATION not the Rogue. This way Lag won't kill them. And they are still avoidable.
