Is this a bug?

Hi. I'm new to the game, been playing about a week. Yesterday, one of my characters, Dent Nottian got killed by what was either a griefer or a bug, but I'm not sure which.

I'd just completed the Bilby Residence quest, the one with all the traps. During it I triggered a few of the traps but nothing hit me until a few seconds later, sometimes not at all. That was rather odd.

Anyway, I then leave the house, enter Upper and as I go past the town hall, "Someone" hits me with with a dozen low-damage Magic Missiles out of nowhere, killing Dent in one volley.

Now, I saw nobody around, and from from what I know of the mechanics, anyone able to launch 10-12 of those in a row is going to be doing way more than 1d6 with them.

This event happened at about 18.10 GMT yesterday, and I have a post death screenie showing multiple Missile hits off "someone".

Tried to report it immediately, but found no DMs in chat.

So, is this a bug in the quest causing all the triggered Missile traps to hit after a delay, or was it a concealed griefer? I'd find the second case unlikely, as I saw no caster become visible, and all my gear was left untouched when I respawned.

Sounds like a bug caused by incredible lag. Very weird!

It was definitely not a griefer, as you recieve a message that alerts you when you have been killed by another player.

That is strange then. I didn't notice any bad lag at that point other than the traps incident. When I logged on, I got a ping of about 170, the lowest I'd have yet for EfU.

Would it be possible to restore the exp my character lost, as I was quite low on potions and wouldn't have gone on if I'd been taking that many hits over time. I had something like 6300-6500 experience at that point.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately, that's against server policy.
