(3) Meta-gaming is not allowed. This means that you can not take advantage of knowledge that you as a player might have but your character does not. A very simple example of this is that although you can see what another character's name is through the tab key, your character can not. You as a player may know something about the setting through a source book, but your character does not. Always think about what sort of knowledge is IC (in character) as opposed to OOC (out of character)

Basically, transmitting any IC information via OOC means is against the rules of EFU. Likewise, acting IC upon any such information you receive is against the rules.

To put this in perspective, we've had two announcements in the regards of metagaming this last week. I suspect that there have been amounts of "casual" metagaming of small tidbits of information. Let's please try to avoid this, since metagaming does change the way server events work, and how people react, and spoil many secrets which to many should still be a secret ripe for discovery.

BTW, this does include scripted quests.

If I see you metagaming trap locations, I am going to force walk you over one, tbh.

Just keep that in mind.

Despite the difficulty of traversing the server these days, it is still very much against the rules to do these sorts of things.

I personally will be cracking down on people metagaming one anothers locations to meet up.

Just don't do it. It may be difficult to find that person you're looking for, but that is simply the way it goes.
