I have met Captain Merrimar, a staunch follower of Valkur. Together we have made plans to work together to find a crew and figure out a way to obtain a ship of our own. We are looking mostly for experienced sailors but are also willing to train those willing to learn.

I have met a seaman by the name of Cynn. She is a follower of Salune, an experienced sailor and she can tell a yarn that will keep you on your seat wanting more. I do see a bit of a temper in her but feel she would be a fine crewman and she wishes to join the Captain and myself in our quest for a crew and a ship.

Following First Mate Davies' advisement, I am recording matters pertinent to the gathering of a crew and ship here in this log.

The roster so far:

First Mate Blake Davies Cynn Sigurd Uthalann, tentatively

Uthalann's the only questionable one, but I'm taking him on anyway due to lack of options and the possibility of showing him some of the things he says don't exist: valor, honor, and such. As long as he pulls his weight and isn't too vocal about some of his less desirable views on the world, I'll keep him.

And Uthalann, if you're reading this, I suppose I already told you as much of that in person as I've written, so the criticism shouldn't come as much of a surprise.
