Esteemed Elders,

I am Bolgar Bruteaxe, warrior, and member of Clan Mithrilsoul, and I write to you on behalf of what may be left of my clan and on behalf of the city of Sanctuary in which I live. Our City has existed in the Underdark along with your great hold for a long while now - perhaps not so long for our kin, but long in the sense of the humans who mainly make up it's citizenry. The city of Sanctuary now wishes to strike up official trade accords and alliances with your esteemed Clan, and I have been asked to make an attempt at brokering the contact. My Clan, what ever may be left of it, has in the past had friendly contact with yours - interrupted only by the vile Montezzi Prince who yet reside in the Lower confines of our Town, yet are at an uneasy peace with the rest of our realm - and it is for this reason the humans of this place choose me to speak for them.

I would ask that your great Clan accept an envoy, and in the name of the Morndinsamman, open your hearts to comming to terms with us. From cooperation our settlements can only prosper, and dwarves in both settlements may enjoy once more the warmth of greatness. I hope to hear from you soon.

ready or not, the humans of Sanctuary are sending an expedition to you. We shall join them. They will come regardless of our doings and dealings, and we think it will be better if we come along with their Councillors than remain behind.
