We have met twice a week or two ago, thus you might still remember me or you may not, but regardless I write this letter to discuss about your plans for Sanctuary if you are chosen to become a Councilor in the upcoming election.

This election and the politics of this city does not concern me much, but the well being of Dunwarren does and I find that it is being destroyed from within right now, thus I wish to give you some suggestions.

I know little of the other Candidates, but I suggest that you stray away from their utterly foolish policies and ideas if you wish your city and fellow citizens to continue to hold a high chance of survival in the Underdark. I cannot be completely certain if Sanctuary would survive, this is why I call it "a chance of survival" because nothing is ever certain in the Underdark, the only thing I am certain about is that Sanctuary will fall much faster and easier if it continues to trust and work with its current allies and make deals with tyrants such as the Montezzis in Lower and Canal Ward out of fear.

You should act against the vile Kobolds of the Shadow Tribe, have the alliance broken and get them removed; the Kobolds are nothing, but an insidious and wicked reptilian race, they have proven this time and again in their battles against the Gnomish people and other innocent people, any self respecting Gnome would tell you this, though you may say in reply that the Shadow Tribe is much different, in truth they are not, they may be your allies now, but they will betray Sanctuary at any good moment they can find and their dragon master will enslave all of you, but by then it would be too late.

Secondly, you should act harsher against the Montezzis, I am very surprised that Sanctuary has even tolerated them so, because they are openly trading with the Duergar and Drow; they are among Sanctuary's most hated enemies and in fact there are Duergar Mercenaries guarding the Canal Gate and Drow Merchants freely doing business already. Many of you seem to say that war would be a bad thing, but actually it is not true, war will come whether or not you like it, the Svirfneblins of Dunwarren before Sanctuary was founded fell to internal corruption and to the Drow in the past, Sanctuary will mostly likely not have a higher chance of survival than a race which has survived in the Underdark for centuries and more, if it continues down this dark path. Take the upper hand and act now before it is too late, push for the alliance to be broken and get Sanctuary to strike.

I simply wish to warn you and give you a few suggestions, if you will not heed it then so be it, the future of Sanctuary will be in ruins, but if you do wish to discuss of this further, come find me or reply by letter.

I thank you for the interest in me and the trust I have apparently earned. If you follow my campaign you see that some of the issues and measures you brought forth are being in the focus, or even planned out. It just seems better to get the necessary votes by not alwas directly speaking out one's thoughts.

Yes, I am aware that the Montezzi regime is out for war no matter how much they deny it and blame us, they are merely paving their roads here.

The Kobold tribe is distrusted and hated by many and is likely to move to Montezzi territory to deal with them from what I gather.

However, is open war the best way or will public bans and a trade embargo do before launching a pre-emptive attack? Where do we get the badly needed iron ore for our war machinery when the deals with the Shadow Tribe break up?

There may be solutions, but nothing that could come overnight. I am very interested to hear out your suggestion on the topic. Find me whenever you want, I am rather confident about wining a seat on the council.
