My computer's video card has gone bad, and caused my computer to work at about 1/100 of it's former capability. Until I can either get the card repaired or replaced, I might be out of the loop for a few days.
Video Card Problems STILL
Lesson Learned;
WHy settle for only one gaming PC? If it fails, you're shit outa luck for a few days.
Buy a secondary gaming PC. They are cheap as hell tehse days, youcan get a top end PC for 800$ or so. I have 3 PCs, and a laptop. You can never have too many!
As you were. Problem fixed.
You may resume your buffs and C&C spells. ;)
As I was.. :? I'm still having massive problems with this PoS.
I keep getting blocks, dots, and blurred images. But they aren't always a constant.
Any idea people?
Your graphics card is probably overheating. Have you ever taken a peek inside your computer case? In case you haven't, there's probably tons and tons of dust causing the components to gather more heat.
I did this morning actually. I opened it up, cleaned it out, and reclosed it. 15 minutes after that, it went right back to being messed up. :x
My fans seem to be working, and I keep the house at a cool temperature (less my wife and daugher complain ;) ).
I doubt this is it, but I guess it never hurts to cover all of your bases. Are your card drivers out of date?
I updated them, Meldread, and it didn't seem to have any significant change.
I'm beginning to think the adapter card might be just shot. =/
Hey man, new vid cards are pretty darn cheap if you want to just spring for a new one. I'd go with newegg.com or aicmicro.com, two hardware sites I have bought tons from. newegg is my preference, their return policy is very good if there are any issues.
Given how long ago NWN was released, you can probably get a new vid card that can handle it easily for around 50 bucks.
What kind of card are you running now?
An old Radeon 9800.
That cheap.. you think? :?
Huh... I might just save myself the hassle.
Yeah, I have an NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS card and it does fine with NWN (I have a dual core Athlon 64 X2 processor and 2 gigs of RAM).
Here is a link to a listing of the GeForce 7300 GS's on newegg.com.

You can probably get a nicer card than this but just as an example, most of them are under $50.
