Letter for Ragrin and Drogon at the Last Stand

[A letter sealed with the official seal of the Watch, the familiar two longswords crossed underneath a watchman's helmet, lies waiting for Ragrin and Drogon at the Last Stand.]

Sir Ragrin/Drogon,

If you are still alive and still wish for a position within the Watch, please meet with a member of the Sanctuary Watch at the earliest opportunity. If you have decided against it, please respond to this letter.

Cpl. Brinson

Honorable Cpl. Brinson,

Thank you for following up with me regarding the recruitment of new Watch members. Some time back, I did have a fine discussion with a Watchman who thought that I might be able to contribute. I was still quite new to the city and have been learning more about it.

I decided against it as I came to the understanding that I was not comfortable working in an organization with a Watchman named Redbeard. If you are so much in dire need of Watch recruits that you hire the likes of him, I cannot help you. I would recommend that you talk with Lady Falkland, sit on her couch and have a Turnip vodka. A warm bath and some chili, in that order of course should also help, and therefore highly recommended.

This is a fine ancient Gnome city and I would like to keep it safe, secure and most importantly returned to its former glory. I have a great interest in the Animatrons indeed, indeed. I have no interest in joining the Spellguard though, but do think that I can gain access to parts of the Grand Machine to acquire better defences and weapons given more time to study the Animatrons. I have had long talks with some of them already and have been checking my calculations and numbers and hope to learn how to control them to open doors within the Machine, I do indeed.

I would be curious to know how many Gnomes are in the Watch though, and would appreciate meeting with them to see how they are treated within the Watch and I might reconsider.

Amicably, Ragrin N.

// OOC I also need to consider goals for an application

Sir Ragrin,

Redbeard was expelled from the Watch for misconduct. Even if we need all the recruits we can get, there are qualitites they must have and unaccepted behavior will not be tolerated. I hope that the incident with him doesn't stain the way you see our organisation, but we certainly understand that some of our members may behave in ways that do not fit the responsibilty given them upon induction into the Watch. It is of utmost importance that you report it should you see that any of our men or women misuse their position.

There should be gnomes in the Watch, but I have no idea how many. Feel free to approach any member when you see them, but they may be busy with their duties so expect that you may be asked to talk with them later. We strive to treat every member with the respect they deserve.

Should you reconsider, please approach an available member of the Watch and your recruitment file will be opened again. If you have any questions, you are welcome to send another letter.

Cpl. Brinson
