Battletide doesn't give bonus to allies?

The mechanics changes lists "Battletide: bonuses to allies". However, it doesn't seem to be doing that at all.

I had this tested out in a couple of places. During a goblin fort run, I casted the spell and nobody within my party that was within the aura reported an increase in their AB.

I also did some wandering around the mines with a few different summons along and, again, when I casted the spell and they were within range of the aura, their character sheet didn't show any changes either.

Also, could anyone explain to me how the penalty to hostiles within the aura works? Is there suppose to be a visual clue? I had a swarm of about 10 bats surround me and I didn't see anything.

Be-bump.

Any feedback from anyone in the know?

Looked like it worked when you used it near me.

Perhaps the bonus it applies doesn't stack with other things that were up?

But I can guarantee that this effect did not apply any increase in my numbers while fighting along side her. I was looking at the combat log and the stat sheet.

Cruz Looked like it worked when you used it near me.

When was this exactly? I don't remember using it around you.

As for the bonus not stacking, I've used the spell while around unbuffed summons and they still didn't get anything.

Idea:

Aura spells are funky on EfU. That's why Magic Circle and Circle of invisibility were changed - they didn't apply their effects to people correctly.

Battletide may need a similar change. Suggestion: A very wide area around the caster, applied to all allies and enemies in range immediately at the time of casting.

Aura spells are funky in NWN, period.

It does work caster, Only periodically, and somewhat randomly. I have gotten a boost when you cast it near me, I'm nearly completely certain. Its not that it's never working, it's working only sometimes.

It should be possible to make a once/round script for the spell that checks distance from the caster and applies bonuses if within a certain radius. (basically, tweaking the aura effect) The only negative bit tothis is the constant 1/round spells can stack, increasing server load and lag.

:(

Very much against having a heartbeat script for this spell. I'd suggest it could be something like war cry, where instead of fear it could be the spell doom on enemies.

I think that the aura effects against enemies seems to be working just fine. Hostile NPCs that find themselves within the aura, make roll a will saving through and if they fail, they get that little thunderstorm over their heads.

As far as I can tell, it's just the bonus to allies portion of the modified spell that doesn't seem to work.
