These guys are a spawn that has a really good non-random drop, I think they should be harder, more rare, or the drops get nerfed somewhat.
5 DR and regeneration would make them more fair, imo, and prevent them from getting "whittled down" by PCs who fight them for awhile, then retreat and return.

I think they are fine, and if any changes are needed maybe just get them to just use the non-random items they have >_>

One of the most nonsense ideas about. The ogre bandits are no joke as it is and then already use some of the potions that they have. If they are truly so easy for you (or the gank squad that accompanies) just avoid them. Also, remember that the higher level you are the easier that it will be to take out.

Huh, why should they regenerate.. it clearly says they are Ogres, not Trolls..

I didn't say they were pushovers, or too easy for me - I said what they drop isn't commensurate with their difficulty.
They dont use "some" of the potions, they only use one of them.
The regeneration so people couldn't fight one for awhile, then run away invisible and return when healed and rested to finish it.
Granted some underdark foes are quite tough and drop nothing at all, so this may be some sort of balance.
I think the Ogre Bandit, however, is only moderately tough compared to a lot of other things, and should either be toughened or its drop reduced, especially since they don't seem that rare near Sanctuary.

I think they are suitably dangerous.

I find that the danger an Orge bandit posses is more then worth the rather basic loot they drop. Its a nice reward for taking them down, but I've seen them destroy whole parties before. Actually, these spawns are some of the scariest out there...

Ogre bandits are to resemble how dangerouse the underdark is! If anything Dms should be spawning drow/duergar to attack people in the underdark! The underdark is no joke the underdark is dangerouse so dont go out alone. If you want Ogre bandits to be tweaked Im sure their is an in game way to acomplish this best FOIGED!

They do regenerate I believe... If my memory is accurate, if you battle one, leave and come back later, it will be back to uninjured... maybe I'm just remembering wrong, but I do believe spawns get some hp back over time when no one is in the area or some such.

Yep, if anything, the Underdark is extremely hazardous. I suppose some pretty mean things spawn out there. THAT is why we play this game, is it not? I've had random people just click on Trinden's name in the player box, to compain to me how they died to a black dragon wyrmling where there wasn't supposed to be, or that something called a "Shimmergloom" was in the Beetle Caves. It's just a reminder to everyone that THIS is the Underdark. So whatever it is, Beetles or Ogres or even... "Shimmerglooms" whatever those are, just remember that this is, in fact, the Underdark. IMO.It's a game, right?

Agree. They need to be harder + a few less potions.

I don't agree with Sherry... These are wicked. But, he's the DM and I'm just an underpriveleiged gamer with far too many characters.

I would be in favour of removing some of the potions.

Okay. I just fought on of these the other day- Mind you, I was boosted a tad and happen to be on the higher level range, but I mauled the ever loving hell out of the ogre.
I want to formally revoke the contents of my last post.

On this subject of reducing the potion drop for this spawn, how about adding a chance of potion drop to other spawns?
Deep lizard, troll stone thrower, and Umber Hulk behemoth are tough enough to possibly warrant dropping the occasional potion.

FIXED.
These things are now rather terrifying. Beware adventurers.
