Calawyn Steel [DM]

Some of these notes are found scattered in the shadowy places and mostly unwalked recesses in the city environs, and a copy too was left at the Crone

Mr. Steel,

I understand that you've been driven out of your stall in the Upper City by the reckless law officials who simply do not understand quality goods and service.

As you are no doubt aware, House Montezzi has defeated the Upper City both on the battlefield and at the negotiating table, and has control of the Canal Ward in its entirety. Many properties are available there for enterprising merchants. No tariffs, no taxes, no harassment.

Consider this your invitation to set up your stall in our new district, and leave word for me at the Fortress if I've piqued your interest. We will discuss details then. You'll fine us reasonable men.

Best regards,

Pyotr Ignatiev Montezzi Court

Could happen.

Mr. Steel,

Time has passed, and I'm sure you've done your investigations. Can we expect you to set up shop in our domain? I, for one, wish to once again gain access to your special wares.
