Montezzi: "...When it comes to Montezzi, diplomacy is the best option. It must be made clear, however, that the lines have been drawn. Any attempt to take further pieces of Sanctuary will be considered an act of war. He would be wise not to test us, as I would unleash the full might of our city upon him, the likes of which would destroy anything in its path. From this point on his kingdom is his own responsibility and our city our own. With this being said, I still have hope that a strong alliance is possible. We share common enemies in the underdark, we share a common people and it is only right that we do what's best toward the common goal of prosperity. Should we decide to work with one another as opposed to against, perhaps great things could be achieved on both ends."
Economics and Trade: "...I have never been much of a merchant. My business is in people, not in the wares they purchase. My dealings, however, within the Archibald family have put me in touch with many who I'd consider genius on the matters of trade and economy. From what they tell me, freedom is the key to any successful enterprise. The freedom to sell what people want to buy and the freedom to buy what you wish to sell. Where there is a market for an item, there should be a vendor for it. The government should have as few hands in this as possible. As a general rule, I would make it my policy to consult the many experts I know before making any economic decisions. I won't let my own whims stand in the way of progress. That said, the final decision will be my own to make."
The Seekers: "...The seekers are an interesting case. Here is an organization, beloved by a good number and hated by everyone else. In the past they have brought both invaluable information to our safety as well as violent revolution and death. For my part, I am not interested in seeing them back in Sanctuary until they have proven that they can stick to their mission as outlined in the past. Scout the underdark and supply our defenses with information. Yes, this includes giving information to the Spellguard and the Watch, who they have historically shunned, but who have been the ones that have actually kept this city safe for the last 152 years. Should they be allowed back into the city, I would support increased regulations of their activities. They must prove they can behave and earn high marks, before we decide to simply turn them lose."
Shadow Tribe: "...I would argue that anyone who wants the Shadow tribe out of the dealings with Sanctuary is acting on prejudice without knowing anything of the real issues. One of the few foreign allies we have managed to hang onto, they supply us with large amounts of metals and other supplies. Additionally, their presence in the underdark serves as a tap of information and defense. Should an undead horde pass by the former mushroom, the fierce kobolds would fight to their deaths to defend their own territory and in the process do much to defend our own. In many ways, the Shadow Tribe could make the key difference in a war upon our city. I hope they stay as long as they like."
New Dunwarren: "...I've a great deal of respect for the people on the hill. Though, I'd wish they'd come off it from time to time. The city of Sanctuary could use their guidance and leadership back among us. I'd fully support reintegration, not just in name alone, but in practice. We need more Private Danger's, men of conviction who may live on the hill, but come down and use their strength and leadership for the betterment of the city proper everyday."
