Dear Mylin,
My six big black rats are quite out of hand. Surely you'd think it would be safe for my two innocent, small white rats to play with them in the great dark, but that's just not the case at all.
When one of the small rats played too much and hurt himself, a black one put its hands on him and mended him right away. It surprised me too! Usually black rats use their hands for other things. What happened next didn't surprise me at all. No sooner had my black rat mended the small one with its hands, than it tried to color HIM black too. The second small rat thought it was silly- who's ever laid hands on a small black rat, anyway? He thought you might as well color the sun, as color a rat! The black ones didn't find that funny at all. Once they got some black on the first small one, they all tried to paint the second one – together. If he hadn't made it all the way back to shelter, I don't know what would have happened!
I am sorry about this – pretty unicorns should not have to spend their time looking for rats – but rats should not be allowed to grow big enough to be a problem. Big black rats are a real handful, and nobody needs that.
