It would be nice with some more storage space in the Society Chapterhouse. One chest with room for only 20 items is too little IMO.
Also I would like to see a storage "barrel" in the Lab, where we can put things we experiment with.

20 items is plenty, It's just that there is many ordinants and people are just putting whatever in there I bet. Try to limit items/person and only heavier things or something.
Go through the chest periodically and sell the junk! Its what the druids do.
When I was a member of the Watch almost every single storage chest was full of... junk. I tried to get permission to sell the stuff, and then place the gold obtained in the joint Watch account. It never really got anywhere due to IC reasons, and it was very frustrating. It was like living with a bunch of slobs. :P
IIRC the new druid faction has a chest with room for alot more than 20 items, I may remember wrong here. But why shouldnt the Society have more room really? We have a big storage room but we cant put things there? Often some of us have sentimental heavy items we cant sell, they all take up room.
Regarding the storage barrel I would like to see in the Lab. This will be used for small things like alchemist things or whatever people are experimenting with.
The Watch and Spellguard receive funding from the Council, the druids *spoiler*, and the Society is a band of merry men that has resources only to sustain itself.
I was unaware that finding a chest and putting it behind a locked door required lots of funding, Snoteye. Isn't that all that a persistant chest is, just a chest? I mean, it's not like there's some magic on it IG that says "stuff inside you will not disappear randomly over server crashes". It seemed more like an OOC issue whether or not a faction get persistant chests, and how many they got.
Did you see the size of the Chapterhouse? Would it be hard to just put stuff on the floor? I mean he house is HUGE and empty. Surely you could store things there.
Give an inch, they'll take a yard.
_trendymonster_ Isn't that all that a persistant chest is, just a chest? It's (part of) our IC reasoning for an OOC stance.
As for the size of the Chapterhouse, it's honestly way too large and does not properly represent the resources at the faction's disposal. But it's really cool. >.>
Yes, I sugesst if the house seems to large for the lack of storage in it the solution is obviously to make the house smaller. Then people will think twice about asking next time!
I'm only kidding of course. I imgine a lot of the OOC reasoning about limiting storage has to do with the -huge- advantage it already gives to the owners of it. 20 items may not seem like much, but compared to the average PC that isn't in a faction, even two items at a time could seem like a godsend.
We aren't using all of the storage available as it is, so I don't really see this as a problem. A persistent container in the Lab would be brilliant, though. <_<
It's easy to hook up a second container to access the same inventory. I don't know about another chest, though. <.<
Wow. You are asking the dms for chests that can store more than 20 items (like if it wasn't enough) while us in player factions or without factions don't even have one.
And you complain that you can't drop items if they have a sentimental value? FFS. If it isn't of any use to you, toss it into a container and rp as if you still had it stored somewhere else than in a chest or on you. Like it would be the case irl, where resets don't exist.
Tristan persistant storage should imo be one of the advantages of being in a DM faction.
Anyway I will once agien ask please please set up a container in the Lab. We really need it for certain *spoiler* Items.
A container in the lab -would- be really helpful and convenient, whether it increases our storage space or simply ties into our current one.
