You would find such information completely useless to you. As I said in my original letter my men and I shall not be the only ones venturing into your domain, but also associates and those who I deem capable or reliable enough to bring with me. My men themselves are directly prohibited from entering your domain for any purpose unless they have my direct permission or ordered to do so by a member of the Council.
Were I to follow your request the information that would be provided would prove completely unreliable, and I shall not be accused of lying to you or your men. In fact these correspondences between us are being delivered to the defense organizations of Sanctuary as well as the Council so that they may be notified of my request.
I am unsure if those with me will make multiple trips or if we shall only be making one. I am unsure of what we shall find. All that I am aware of is that the Rats are amassing in large numbers below your domain with unknown intentions.
None of your laws shall be broken, and any trip made will only be done so in passing. In fact any stay within your domain will be so brief you will likely not even become aware of it until I notify you it has occurred.
It would obviously be counter productive to deny my request. The purpose of our correspondence is not to waste time, but to inform you that I will be passing through your domain, that our stay will be extremely brief, our full intentions, the benefits provided to you in allowing us to proceed, and to receive your formal assurances that my men, those who travel with me, or myself shall not be assaulted or harassed as we pass through.
However, by the power invested upon you by the Council of Sanctuary you have been given full authority to deny us access. Should you do so, however, we will simply find an alternative route that does not involve entering into your domain as I know of multiple routes to exist. Additionally, any security information we obtain on our excursions into the territory of the Rats shall be denied to you and your men by myself unless otherwise authorized to hand over such information by majority Council vote.
I believe such would be counterproductive as you turn your attentions elsewhere at the moment. Should you grant my request I will ensure that you are kept informed of what we find so that your domain may be better protected against the machinations of the Rats.
Signed,
Kedrick Reynolds
Grand Marshall of the Marching Men
