The letter is delivered by a commoner and left at the Fortress.
Victorious Prince Montezzi -
We are pleased to see how you celebrate your victory over the Council. It seems congratulations may be in order.
However, before it comes time to truly look forward to victory there is business that must be discussed. You do not know us and we will keep it that way for now. Suffice it to say, we are an organization of like minded men and women who work toward similar goals: power and wealth.
You have surprised us. We greatly underestimated your ability to accomplish all that you have. In truth, we thought within the span of a week you would have been nothing more than a footnote in the history of this little village.
Such may still come to pass. There is still much work ahead for you. We are content to watch your efforts for now, but let it not be said that we have done you no favors. A time will come in the future when such favors must be repaid in full.
We are unsure why you have left rebels alive, and can only assume that it is because you do not know their history. If you think forcing them to grovel before you will change their true nature, then you would be incorrect. You are not the first to try, and you are not the last to fail.
Let it be said now that the Circle of Unseen Hands sends you a warning: There are those in your domain that conspire treason against your noble house. They plot with others of unknown intent, but they are the leaders of a fledgling rebellion. As you turn your attentions to your victories you neglect the dagger at your back.
Cyrus the owner of the Pissing Crone and the Half-Breed Winston conspire together, with a group of others, to overthrow your rule. This is not the first rebellion that they have attempted. Prior occupants of your Fortress home also learned the treasonous ways of those two men. The Tiger Eyes likewise forced them to kneel and it was they, along with others, others of their own men, who stood up and overthrew them. The Tiger Eyes were destroyed in a single battle, Tiger upon Tiger, and I am sure that you know history has a way of repeating itself.
Cyrus and Winston seek a repeat of the past. Members of our extended "family" have eavesdropped on an interesting conversation held in the basement of the Pissing Crone. There were others in attendance, at least one appeared to be a Seeker, but their identities are otherwise unknown to us. However, of the group neither Cyrus nor Winston sought to conceal their identities. As such, we provide this information to you. We do this in full knowledge that there will come a time, 'O Triumphant Prince, that we shall require the favor repaid in full.
Until such a time. We will continue watching and waiting, eagerly awaiting your ultimate triumphant success.
-The Circle of Unseen Hands
