Honorable Slayer Merlinda,
Your zealous thirst for the blood of the Rats has reached my ears. I am pleased to say that I share your hatred of them, and this is why I write to you now.
On Uktar 20, Year 152 the Upper Ward was assaulted by the Rats as I am sure you recall. During these events an honorable man by the name of Marshall Greer did battle with one of the flying beasts and attempted to grapple it. He and the beast tumbled downward into the Lower Ward.
However, no bodies were ever found. It is believed that this giant Flying Rat may have carried him off back to their nest. For what purposes, I do not know. You are more knowledgeable in this area than I and I seek to know more.
Where do you think this Rat would have taken Greer should he have survived the fall? There are reports that the Chosen are amassing in numbers never before seen. I require any information you are willing to give about that as well.
Additionally, there is one other thing of note. There is rumor of a Rat which has modified its body with animatronic parts. From my research into these beasts, I was led to believe that they hate the machine. This could imply that one of them is rebelling. If you have any information on this I would appreciate it.
