A kobold by the name of Kirix approached me today. Oddly enough, he seemed quite friendly, and different from nearly every other kobold I've ever seen. He asked if I know of any Seekers that would be willing to meet with him. He states that he made a promise to a woman known as Melanie, that helped him escape the Duergar, to find the surface, so he wishes to help the Seekers find it.

Now he does have an M branded into his forehead, but that's so he can survive, I think. Could be suspicious, but I don't think so in this case. It didn't sound like a story he made up. Said he'll meet with you anywhere you wish.

I have read your letter and pondered it for many long moments. As you know, Montezzi's are a cunning group with demonic guidence. As such, the Seekers and like minded organization are constantly watching for counter operations from "allies" and "like minded" individuals. But, I will meet with this Kobold and assess for myself, if he would be willing to meet in a location conducive to my security. Tell him to leave word or me at the Last Stand Inn.

Seeker Alrandir,

I spoke to Kirix again and he wishes for you to pick the location for which the two of you will meet. I will lead him to said location, so there is no chance for treachery with him knowing the location prior to the arrival. Just set up the when and the where. Preferably some place secure, but one in which he won't have to worry about getting killed, to get there.
