Citizens,

Since the recent surrender of the Ward to Montezzi, I've had a flood of inquiries about the replacement of the leadership that could allowed this to happen. Specifically, there has been a cry for the esteemed Commander Simms to be replaced by the noble and equally powerful magician, my Lord Alexander Archibald. I wish to make it as public and clear as possible that house Archibald still fully supports Commander Simms and the Spellguard completely and totally.

Long and close has been the relationship between our noble house and the good men and women of the Spellguard, who on a daily basis put themselves on the line for the protection of the city. Mistakes have been made in the past, and they will be made in the future, but the victories have outweighed them at every turn. When the good Commander Simms is ready for retirement, we are certain that whoever he chooses as his replacement will be qualified and up to the difficult task.
