[A small letter left to Senestia]

An invisible figure gently drops this letter along many others in the Last Stand, leaving hurriedly afterwards.

Dear Senestia,

I am a simple gnome that requires simple pleasures. This is due to the understanding that I will never see my love again. Just the spark I left with her, and the fact I was hopeful for about three years that I will see her again kept me going with a smile and a grin... and from my side, and hers as well I suspect, the spark has faded.

Do as you will with this poem. No need for rewards. Give it to one of the children in Lower. That... will make me ten times happier.

Roses are red; Violets are blue I swear by all, I still love you Petty hopes; Graying leaves My life-force is leaving, my chest no longer heaves Last light of life; Doorway to my death For you, my love, I take this last breath

Now in Celestia, my faith has gone Without you I cannot see the dawn I sit and wait and hold for none Aside from my love, my sweetheart, my one

Dear Anonymous,

My heart pains at your tale and for you. You have done a wonderful job in putting your feelings into poetry, I am sure your love, if she ever reads this poem, would be greatly moved. I will ensure, however, that the other people in this city will see the passion that you held.

Best regards and may Sune weep for you and bless you, Senestia Avarscanti

The letter floats in thin air, and disappears just like that. A small transparent rose is left at its place, obviously an illusion. It fades after about a day.
