Will end, will give xp, but won't buy the diamonds found. Is this a bug, or should the gnome also buy the gems?

Righto, then how about an ooc warning in the description so i or someone else don't post the same bug in a few months time, when we'll have completely forgotten the answer to this thread ?

I agree, an OOC warning or the complete removal of the quest might be prudent. I wasted a large majority of my (albeit lacking) healing, as well as other supplies, for a very minimal reward, in both XP and GOLD.

At the very least, have a local merchant who will buy the diamonds for a fair price. That's got to be a simple solution.
